say if you signed up for hosting w/ a site like godaddy, they usually offer email account hosting w/ most deals.
How would you access it? Would you have to go into your control panel through the host’s website every time or could you access it w/ a program like Outlook or something?

Set up is through Control Panel, where it will tell you the settings for Outlook or any other email program. You could also use the GoDaddy web interface, but it sucks, IMHO. Email can also be forwarded to another address if you prefer.
